Divine intervention is the best reason I can think of for the success of this year’s regatta. The 22nd Mid-Winters was extraordinary. The wind was strong, shifty and puffy, yet consistent, requiring serious effort, while allowing strategic and tactical decisions to govern performance. Gold Fleet was hotly contested.
