Obituary


Lincoln F. Schoenberger died at home in Shelton on May 19, 2014 after having been diagnosed with a brain tumor in January 2013. He was 65.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Kirsten, and his incredible children, Kate (Gordie Weissman), Max (Jenn Schoenberger), and Carina (Steven Steer). He is also survived by his greatly adored grandchildren, Malcolm and Claudia Weissman, and Bodhi Teufel.
He worked for OEM Controls, Inc., in many capacities, for over 34 years. He was a soldier, sailor, tinkerer, production manager, carpenter, and lawyer, but mostly he loved to race sailboats and belonged to many sailing organizations and clubs, including Fayerweather Yacht Club, Cedar Point Yacht Club, Windjammers Sailing Club, Off Soundings Club, Eastern Connecticut Sailing Association, Yacht Racing Association of Long Island Sound, and US Sailing.
A memorial celebration will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at 3:30 p.m. at the Shelton Community Center, 41 Church Street, in Shelton, CT. Lincoln's family will begin receiving visitors at 2:30 p.m. A memorial service will also be held at the Bryn Athyn Cathedral in Bryn Athyn, PA at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday July 20, 2014.
